DATA DELETION INSTRUCTIONS – EBL UNIVERSAL (NIGERIA)

EBL Universal Concept Ventures (“EBL Universal”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting the personal data and privacy of all customers who use our e-commerce website, WhatsApp Business API, or any connected digital platform. This Data Deletion Policy outlines how users in Nigeria can request permanent removal of their personal data in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA 2023) and Meta’s Platform Policy.


1. Types of Data We Collect

  • Customer Information: Name, phone number, and email address.
  • Order & Payment Data: Product purchases, delivery details, and payment confirmations (we do not store card numbers).
  • WhatsApp Communication: Messages exchanged through our official WhatsApp Business channel.
  • Technical Data: Device type, browser, and basic usage logs for performance and fraud prevention.

All information is used solely for legitimate business functions such as order fulfilment, customer support, and transaction verification.


2. How to Request Data Deletion

If you wish to permanently remove your data from our systems, please follow the steps below:

  1. Send an email to privacy@ebluniversal.com or support@ebluniversal.com with the subject line: “Request for Data Deletion.”
  2. Include the following details:
    • Full name
    • Registered phone number or email address
    • Brief description (e.g., order number, WhatsApp chat, or inquiry)
  3. We will confirm receipt within 72 hours and process deletion within 7 working days after verifying your identity.

3. What Happens After Deletion

Once verified, your personal data will be permanently deleted or anonymised from:

  • Our WooCommerce and WordPress databases
  • The EBL WhatsApp Commerce Suite (chat and order metadata)
  • Third-party integrations (logistics, payment, or communication platforms)

Some anonymised information may be retained only where legally required for accounting or tax obligations under Nigerian law.


4. Deletion of WhatsApp Data via Meta

If your data includes messages or interactions through WhatsApp, EBL Universal will also request deletion via Meta’s Graph API, ensuring full compliance with:

5. Confirmation of Completion

Once your request has been completed, you will receive written confirmation that:

  • All identifiable personal data has been deleted from our systems.
  • No further communication or processing will occur unless you initiate a new transaction or consent again.
